Sorry for the sparse updates here! Life seems to jet by at a mile-a-minute these days! I did however, want to make time to share this cute woodland baby mobile that I made for my dear friend who is expecting a baby boy in March. She has a super cute woodsy themed baby room for her, and as I thought what I wanted to make for her I saw the cutest little felt animals as I scrolled through Pinterest for inspiration.
If you follow me on Instagram or my other social media outlets you’ve probably seen these… but here they are all together!
It’s that time of year yet again! I am excited to get our tree, decorate, listen to Christmas music, spend more time with the family…. all that good stuff that this time of year brings! In honor of the holidays, I’m running a 20% off sale until December 15th in my Etsy shop! Happy holidays to you and yours, and I hope you find your holiday shopping easy and NOT stressful this year!!
I’m so SO sorry it’s been literally crickets over here on this blog. Life pretty much took over! If you follow me on Instagram I do seem much more present there (or on my other social media outlets as well!) I’ve been pretty good about posting on my Limited Free Knitting & Crochet Patterns group on Facebook, which has been a lot of fun, and now has grown to over 500 members (woohoo!).
I have been trying to work on Fall inventory for my Etsy (which has been neglected.. since life has happened 😆) so I will be posting more of those items, as well as some seasonal projects as I work on them!
Thanks for sticking around, friends. I’m excited to post more projects soon!
I hope everyone out there is having a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! I am sure feeling the love from my family, and I hope you are feeling an extra dose of love too! My husband and daughter surprised me with a cajón today! One of our favorite things to do that we really don’t get to do anymore is play music together (I play percussion / drums, and my husband is a talented pianist), mostly because it takes SO long for me to lug out my drum sets (I have an acoustic and an electronic) so those spontaneous jam sessions don’t happen anymore! But now, I’m so excited because this instrument is so accessible and quick to grab. He truly knows my heart!
Happy Star Wars Day, friends! Since it’s May the 4th I thought I would share an older project that I had finished back in February. My first attempt at a crochet and fabric fusion scarf. I had seen some awesome Star Wars flannel fabric at Joann’s and knew I had to get it!
Happy Earth Day 2017, Crafters! As Earth day was getting closer and closer, I was thinking about how I, as a maker, reduce my carbon footprint on our lovely planet. I thought I would share some ways you can too!
My family lives pretty frugally and we are big on recycling. (Yes, I’m the person that washes out those plastic containers and either keeps them, or throws them in the blue bin!) I look at it as a challenge each week to see how little I can throw away. 😀 Here’s a few tips for you to be a little more Green in your life!Read More »
Well, happy Friday to you! I hope things in your crafty world are going well. Things are well in my little world, but it seems like I haven’t had hardly any time to pick up a needle or hook really. I can already feel the sniffles and itchy eyes coming on to kick off allergy season. (It’s not even MAY yet… Oye.) But ANYway…. onto my main wip.. this crochet & fabric fusion tote bag! I did want to share a few photos (some of them you’ll notice from my Instagram page) of my progress so far on this fun project! Let’s rewind and start from the beginning!
Now that it’s March, and we finally finally had a nice sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest, I was totally moved to finally get my fun crochet fringe scarf posted that I made a few weeks ago. I haven’t worn or worked with anything fringe before really, and I am totally digging it! I especially love some of the fun yarn colorways I’m finding at Hobby Lobby that inspire me to make different things.
As I ALWAYS have too many plastic bags cluttering up my house (even though I try try to keep them organized) so it was time yet again to make some more plarn. This time though, after perusing the internets and Pinterest, I decided that I wanted to make it stronger by twisting it! I had found some pretty inventive ways of doing this. Like this video here of a gal using her sewing machine to spin plarn (neat idea, right?!)Read More »
