Loving A Deal – Safeway Run Week: 6/17

Hey all! So I know this is different from the normal crafty blog posts… but couponing is a big part of what I do at home as a stay-at-home wife/mom!  Going forward I will share (probably once a week or so) on some of my adventures in couponing.

Now…I wouldn’t call myself an “extreme couponer”, though I do think some of the deals I score are extremely awesome! I use about 95% internet coupons and some Sunday paper coupons here and there. It really doesn’t take that much effort to save money and build up a stock of those items you frequently buy, while keeping some of your family’s hard earned money! (Stay tuned for a couponing 101 tip post later!!)

Here’s my deal scenarios! Today was just a quick run to Safeway down the street for some of their advertised deals. Their circular runs from 6/17 – 6/23 (Wed – Tue).

15 items with coupons for $4.28 out of pocket!

(As you will see after some investigation there are more than 15 items shown. I ended up getting 2 extra Angel Softs NOT part of the deal, only because I had that safeway doubl’r coupon that I wasn’t expecting to have. Also, one of the pouches is gone because the little princess ate one on the ride home. :D)

Here’s what I did…

Plum Organics Tots Pouch: .99 ea (Club Card Price)

• Buy 6 – Total: $5.94
• Coupon: $1 off 2 pouches (use 3)

Total Paid: $2.94 for 4 pouches or (.49 each!)

Plum Organics (2nd stage): $1.25 ea (Club Card Price)

• Buy 2 – Total: $2.50
• Coupon: $1 off 2 pouches (use 1)
  • Download here – will print 2 per page!

Total Paid: $1.50 for 2 pouches (.75 each!)

• Buy 2 – Total: $1.98
• Coupon: .55 cents off one pack (use 2)

Total Paid: .88 cents (.44 cents each!)

Crest Toothpaste: .99 cents each (Club Card Price)

• Buy 4 – Total: $3.96
• Coupon: $1.50 off 2 (use 2)

Total Paid: .96 cents ( .24 cents each!)

Crest Toothpaste: .99 cents each (Club Card Price)

• Buy 1 – Total .99 cents
• Coupon: $1.00 off 1 Crest Toothpaste, 3 oz or larger from Red Plum Insert 6/14

Total – Free!

Grand Total: $6.28

Now use a Safeway Doubl’r coupon from the paper in-store (Max value $2.00 – .50 extra for up to 4 coupons!)
