Free Knitting Pattern – Endless Waves Infinity Scarf

I had a lot of fun this weekend writing this pattern! I was picking through my yarn the other day in order to take a little fiber picture to inspire me to start a knitting project and looks like that worked for me!

I picked this yarn out online quite a while ago because I love the variegated colors. It’s Cascade Superwash 220 in hue “Ocean Mix” (link via jimmybeanswool.com) Sadly this colorway is discontinued now, but roughly 158-160 yards of worsted weight yarn will get this done! Stay tuned here for a matching headband pattern to use up the rest of your skein! I usually do use a whole skein for a thicker scarf, but I wanted more of a light one this time around. More of a “just pull this over your head once and you’re done” type of thing. 🙂

If you follow me on Instagram/social media… you’ve seen little snippets of this coming together. The stitch used in the pattern is called “overlapping waves” and I thought it was fitting for this color! I may decide to make some more of these and actually give my Etsy shop some action. It’s been a little “dormant”. 🙂

Check out the patterns below!

Pattern

CO 106

Cast on note: I used a longtail cast on to allow for more stretch, which takes a bit more yarn, but is included in my yardage. You may end up having some extra yarn than I calculated if you use a different cast on method.

Making sure there are no twists in your stitches, PM and join ends to form a continuous circle

Rows 1 – 8: 2×2 Rib {K2, P2 until end of row} Last 2 stitches will be k2.
