4 Leaf Clover : Simple Crochet Pattern

I hope everyone had a fun St. Paddy’s Day! My little and I had some fun whipping up a super cute little 4 leaf clover clip for her to wear while we were out running errands. 😄

Free Crochet Pattern ♥ 4 leaf clover shamrock by Fibreandfabrics

I had found a little clip when rummaging through my hair tie / bobby pin pile and we were good to go!

This really whips up so fast with just some left over scraps of yarn! Scraps of yarn never looked so good. 😉

  • Crochet Hook  (5.5 mm) I
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle to weave in ends

💚 Abbreviations

  • sl st = slip stitch
  • tr = triple crochet
  • dc = double crochet

💚 Pattern

Hand Beaded Silk Yarn - 7 Pack

• Leaves

Start with a Magic Ring & leave a long enough tail to weave in ends! Video here if you need it! ↓

Over 800 Items

In magic ring, sl st, then * ch 3, tr, dc, tr, ch 3, sl st to magic ring. (This completes one leaf)

Repeat 3 or 4 times for a three or four leaf clover!

After you have your desired amount of leaves, it’s time to make the stem.

After completing the last sl st to the magic ring, pull the magic ring tail tight.

• Stem

ch 8 (or more if you want a longer stem), then sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook.

Continue to do 5 more sl st’s up the stem. At this point turn over your work to the back side, and secure the stem inconspicuously with a sl st .

Flipped over, and securing to back side with a sl st.

Leave a tail to weave in ends.

Re-tighten the tail from your magic ring before weaving in ends.

You can also use the 2 tails you have to weave in to secure to a clippy as well! Or just as easily use fabric glue / felt..etc.

And that’s it! These are so cute as applique attached to your other projects, or even to embellish a t-shirt!

I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day and are having a wonderful weekend! We had family over, made homemade Reubens. Yum Yum!
